What it is

Till & Stack (working name) is a loyalty-card wallet for South Africa, Android first and then iOS, from the team behind Tap & Tank.

Planned features

• Wallet, free and offline. Scan a store loyalty card's barcode or QR code once, then show it at the till. Cards live on your phone and the app works with no signal and no account.
• Points, honestly. Retailers do not publish points APIs, so points are entered by you, with reminders. The app never logs in to your retailer accounts.
• Stack your savings (opt-in). Cashback on real online purchases, paid out by licensed partners in bitcoin, ether or rand, and plain nudges such as how much you saved at the till this week.
• Pay-with-crypto hints. Which stores accept crypto payment apps, with links to your own wallet or exchange app.

Principles

• No custody. Bit Primitive never holds, converts or transfers crypto. Rewards go to your own account with a licensed provider.
• Information, not advice. No buy signals and no price predictions.
• Encrypted sync. Optional backup is end-to-end encrypted on your phone, so the server only ever stores ciphertext.
• Privacy first. Self-hosted, privacy-respecting analytics and no advertising SDKs.
